National Button Day!

Today, while reading my Paper Crafts magazine, I came across their calendar for November/December and on NOVEMBER 16th it's BUTTON DAY!!! Way cool. So I thought I'd look up National Button Day to see what I could find....guess what.....

I found this site...National Button Society! A way cool site. It has info for beginners and some other neat stuff. There are also links to other sites. If you didn't already know about it, go check it out!!!

I'm thinking Abbie. I like that National Button Day. Perhaps something like everybody shows their favorite memory button. Or the favourite button tin. Favorite way to work with buttons/ favorite button craftproject. Well that's something to start with. Or every floozy has a little give away (buttons involved of course).
Thanks for pointing us out that there is such thing Bev! I'm off to that site!

I received the darling pin cushion and buttons. I've already filled up the pin cushion, which for some reason reminds me of a frosted doughnut, it's just so cute.

I'm going out of town, but will try to post about my win next week on my blog. Thank you so much, and I loved the way you had it wrapped. It was a pleasure to receive.
Bev, that button site is just great! They have many great informational books on the different types of buttons and their characteristics. The whole site is just wonderful. Thanks so much for posting this.

What a fun collection of buttons you've gathered here. I remember raiding my mother's sewing box for buttons like the ones in your post below. This is certainly an original blog concept.
Button Day is a great idea! Time to recognize the importance of the Button...
